<NANTA> is a non-verbal musical performance of reckless rhythms that dramatize customary Korean percussion in strikingly comedic stage show. It integrates unique tempos with a performance style added with a comical twist, which became the first Asian musical to debut on Broadway in September 2013 at the New Victory Theatre on 45th Ave., New York.

The kitchen is the backdrop of <NANTA> and knives and other kitchen utensils are transformed into musical instruments in the hands of the performers. The audiences are entertained with acrobatic cooking shows, a surprise wedding ceremony, and an exciting dumpling challenge.

Washing vegetables, sorting ingredients, setting fire, chefs at the kitchen are about to begin another busy day. Then the ill-natured manager brings his little nephew and makes him a part of the kitchen family. The manager orders the chefs to prepare dishes for an unexpected wedding reception. During the process to meet the deadline of 6 o’clock, delightful beats and smiley faces of the hilarious chefs unites the stage and the audience.

Since the premiere in 1997, the energetic spectacle for all ages has been attracting tourists from all over the world in Seoul and Jeju island and accordingly <NANTA> has entertained more than 10 million audiences. Last January 2017 it reached a remarkable record of performing in 57 countries and 310 cities, using totally more than 390,000 cucumbers, 270,000 carrots & cabbages and 190,000 onions.
